We brunched here today and it was fantastic. Despite the Canberra cold, we sat outside and were quite comfortable - the heaters work very well, blankets are supplied and the plastic cafe blinds really do stop the wind.
Our waiter was very likeable, and pointed out the differences between the coffee for us, with me choosing caramel blend and the Mr choosing the chocolatey blend. Both were a good temperature and nice and strong, and it was interesting to try each other's to get some perspective.
I had the twice cooked potato which was very tasty - I found the leek to be the surprising standout! The Mr had the winter greens and was pleased with his dish too.
A very Melbourne-style brunch!
We had to wait for a table for about 15 minutes but it was worth our time. Service is exceptional here - both friendly and attentive. The various blends of coffee on offer (of which I tried all) were all fantastic. Food, as expected, was really nice. The Cupping Room is justifiably on a different level to most other establishments in Canberra.
Went here this morning for a super later breakfast after checking out of our hotel. We did some research into breakfast in Canberra and this one kept standing out. For good reason. Good service, everyone was busy but calm, coffee was good. I had the bacon & egg roll, my partner had the smashed avo with added sausage and we shared the haloumi fingers. The haloumi is aaaamazing and both of our dishes hit the spot.
One of the hippest place in Canberra! Never ever come at Saturday lunch time unless you are willing to wait for 40 minutes to get seat. This place offers you the best coffeeeee! Ona of course, Canberrian pride! I always ordered black betty. For lunch, I ordered cheese burger without bacon and it was delicious. Good food and good coffee = perfect saturday
I have heard the big hype about 'The Cupping Room' and it is definitely worth a visit. It gets super busy, got in at 8:20am on a weekend and just nabbed one of the few tables left. There was already a fair queue by the time we left at 9:30am. Great energy from the staff and options on the menu were interesting. Takeaway is available too if you can't wait around for a table. Enjoyed a twice cooked potato breakfast meal which was delicious however temperature was kinda luke warm which wasn't right for me. I also had a Bonsoy Spiced Chai which was perfectly flavoured, strong and not too overly sweet. My friend enjoyed a chai pudding which was beautifully presented and portions were decent enough. I will 100% be back to try more!
